Wise words are not my subject matter.
I’m not especially good at giving advice, always thought I wouldn’t be a good shrink,
never have a big holiday message.
So when it comes time to Say Something Important (let’s say on the second day of
Rosh Hashanah) I usually abstain, or turn over the pen to someone like Marge Piercy
who is excellent at advice, at a certain kind of understanding.
And of course there is aways music, beautiful music.
Shana Tova to Everyone. We all every single one of us needs a peaceful healthy
interesting year.
Love, Esther
that song always breaks my heart. perfect balance of joy & pain. I heard jimmy Scott sing that @ the blue note during a celebration of his 80th birthday. Savion glover tap danced to that song and a few that followed.-xx
Just did Tashlich in the middle of my upstate NY village--standing on the bridge crossing Mill Creek, and came home to your lovely message and dear Leonard giving us the Unetaneh Tokef which I so love. Many thanks and l'Shana Tova dear Esther.
