Today ALTE took a break from everything terrible in the world. Today we read poems and prose, played music, told jokes, ate and schmoozed. Today we went to the Borscht Belt Museum in Ellenville, New York.

I can’t remember the last time I was in Ellenville, but the memorabilia at the museum brought so much back. I meet so many interesting people at each event.
Here are a few pictures-
Wonderful to listen to Larry and Susan
Told you I was taking this group picture for my post.
I come home happy after each of our events. Don’t forget to send your submissions to altetogether@gmail.com, subscribe to our Substack and read the latest edition of ALTE on our website.
I'm so sorry I missed it, but I had committed to helping canvass for Democrats in my little corner of Long Island. With Election Day only 2 weeks away, this was really crucial and it was energizing to be canvassing with volunteers from Yale University Democrats who came all the way to Great Neck to help! We also had a group from Swing Left/Target Majority NYC who came to help. The youthful energy was great but so was the group of 70-somethings who came from the city!
Hope to make it to the next event. Thanks for keeping the ALTE voice alive and well!
Speaking of Alte voices (and also of Democrats) - check out this piece from Lucian Truscott IV about our alte President. I thought this group would appreciate it!
