This week finds me traveling in Morocco. It’s on the list of things I never imagined myself doing. For starters, I don’t like flying, but here I am. Trying to figure out how to figure out the world. Maybe you have some good answers. I don’t, but I am having a great time and simultaneously wondering how many of my impressions are accurate or not. So much sensory stimulation it’s difficult to stay focused.
I could write a lot about so many things- the politics, monarchy, religion, modernization, etc. But I’m not They would simply be my quick thoughts based on limited information.
But I am struck by the friendliness of people and the way being someplace new and having so many different experiences gets me out of my own head. I stop thinking about the things that bother me, and I pay attention to the world. So much I can’t do anything about, the least I can do is notice the world around me
.
It is a great privilege to be able to travel. It requires time and resources. I am mindful of that. I am blessed. If you have the opportunity to travel, I recommend you take it and not let fear or preconceptions get in your way.
Wishing you a Happy & Healthy 2024!
Hi Jessica
I visited Morroco five years ago and also found the people to be extremely friendly. The main market place in Marrakech especially at night is don’t miss if you haven’t planned at it.
Continue having a great trip
Can't wait to hear Every Detail. Happy you're there,
