With more than thirty-five thousand dollar stores across the landscape, and they’re expanding every day, with total annual revenues exceeding $100 billion — mostly poor people’s dollars.

Yowza, that’s a lot of poor people’s dollars!

With more than three million eviction notices filed every year, and 42 million Americans needing food stamps to get by, and between twenty and thirty million still lacking health insurance, after all that noise about Obamacare . . .

Elected representatives, take notice!

Alas, in the great majority of the states in our “union,” elected representatives are committed to “tiny government” when it comes to taxing wealthy people and corporations, and “huge government” when it comes to controlling women’s bodies, people’s sexual and gender identities, and the ability of black and brown people to vote.

What a shitload of hypocrisy!

Then there’s that rapist-racist-cheat-liar-narcissistic bastard who is nevertheless sure to win the majority of the white vote and is positioned to resume the presidency even if he fails to win the popular vote.

Omigod, that’s a lot to have to be anxious about for the next two years!!

Dear America, you seedy, decrepit, broken, violent, addicted, suicidal America, drenched in savage entertainment and generations-old racism and triumphalist Christianity and me me me/you you you politics.
