Thank you. I have too frequently, recently, been told that I’ve disappointed friends by voting for Mamdani. Am I not a Jew before all my other values, they ask in so many words. Of course, I’m a Jew, but, I am not a Zionist, and I’m not antisemitic! I believe in change; I believe in the future; I, actually, believe in Lander, and so happy Lander also believes in Mamdani.

I keep saying we need to have organized labor visibly in the resistance to all that is happening now. I know only a fraction of labor is organized in unions these days, but still they have resources and the power to take decisive actions that can bring in all kinds of folks.
