As a participant, I can affirm the story is the absolute truth. Barbara has captured the camraderie and high spirits of this most unanticipated adventure!

What fun what panache! The appeal of rebellion and openness to the new captured in appropriately jaunty and tongue in cheek style. What old lady’s heart is not warmed?

I felt so connected to this adventure story. This is so refreshing and candid. It’s written with humor and lightness yet imparts such a dynamic amongst friends that can’t be fictional! To experiment with magic mushrooms and psychedelics is not be be “taken” lightly but the author addresses this challenge handily. Kudos!

Loved entering the writer's stream of consciousness as she embarks on a quintessentially NYC adventure - the random "let's go do this!" is definitely a NYC experience. Inspires me that that type of escapade keeps happening in the city at all ages. Also that group of women sound so fun!!!

Wonderful. Barbara depicts joy skillfully, which is no easy task.I can’t help but think that with friends like these, who the heck needs mushrooms, anyway! As the participants navigate between “will we or won’t we” the tale gets more and more hilarious, and Barbara brilliantly leaves it to us to imagine in the end what decision they ultimately make. This invites the reader to wonder as well, “would I?”The pacing of this story is right on, and there isn’t a false note to be had. Beautifully executed all the way through.
