I have been feeling a depletion of hope over the last few years. Thank you for replenishing it with this beautiful story of Khany's graduation and the 3,000 other lights that will shine brighter thanks to Hunter and supportive families. Mazel tov Khany!!

My mother graduated Hunter College in 1939. I love her yearbook --SO many immigrant girls (all girls then) and many of them with the name Lillian! Jewish, Italian and Irish Lillians! I always wondered why and then I found out. (Lillian Gish was the big movie star their mothers loved when they were born.)

I graduated from Hunter High School's one-hundredth class. A much more varied group (though no boys) than the one that starts Iin September, we are holding our long-postponed 50th reunion today.
